Exercises on Minor Scale
The notes used in these exercises are the first five notes of the minor scale.
For the key of C major, these notes are C, D, Eb, F and G.
In each of the exercises, a two-measure pattern of notes is played. Listen to the pattern, then play it in the next two measures.
Don't worry about mistakes. The idea is to work with these exercises until you are able to recognize the pitches with confidence. Then you are ready to move on.
The five notes that will be played will be:
  For C instruments (like the flute) C, D, Eb, F and G.
For Bb instruments (like the tenor saxophone) D, E, F, G and A.
For Eb instruments (like the alto saxophone) A, B, C, D and E.
